Bohol I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BOHECO I) received laudable recognition from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) during the 2022 Golden Dagitab Awards held last July 29, 2022, in Quezon City.

The Golden Dagitab Award is the highest distinction award given to electric cooperatives that achieved exemplary and exceptional performance in the field of Financial, Technical, and Institutional operations.  According to NEA Administrator, Engr. Emmanuel P. Juaneza, the award “symbolizes a spark light and hope that together we walk our talk”. 

BOHECO I being one of the two Golden Dagitab Awardees is recognized for its remarkable contribution to the realization of the rural electrification program thru systems efficiency and power reliability.

Aside from bagging the most coveted award, BOHECO I is also a recipient of the following citations:

1. Most Outstanding EC Award – for its excellent performance having attained 100% in the overall assessment thereby realizing the vision of Rural Electrification Program;
2. Outstanding EC Award – for having attained “AAA” rating in the 2021 overall performance assessment and successfully carrying out the mandate of Rural Electrification program;
3. Single Digit System Loss for the Year – for having attained a Single Digit System Loss, thereby contributing to the improvement of EC electric distribution system efficiency and reduction of power rate;
4. RE Program Distinction – for its unwavering commitment and efforts in promoting the best interest of its consumers through the Rural Electrification Program.
5. ECs With Advanced Payment – for its initiative to contribute in the advanced remittance of amortization in the NEA lending program;
6. Sunshine EC – for its resolute perseverance to bring electricity to a wider population within its coverage area by achieving 100% consumer connections, thereby uplifting the socio-economic condition of the people in the countryside.
