The Bohol I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BOHECO I) celebrated its 51^st founding anniversary on August 11, 2022.  The activity commenced with a holy mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Nilo Batausa held at the cooperative’s covered court.  Engr. Dino Nicolas T. Roxas, the General Manager of BOHECO I, officially opened and welcomed the occasion.  Subsequently, cheer dances and ball games competitions played during the one-day event made the celebration more colorful.

In his inspirational message, BOHECO I Board President, Dr. Marcial P. Degamo emphasized that “unity and teamwork beget remarkable success”.  He further pointed out “to adhere and live by our core values as it is the foundation of how we do things.  The highest citation that we just received is a living testament and proof that we do things extraordinarily well.  Congratulations everyone for a job well done!”.

The annual commemoration was also a thanksgiving and victory celebration after BOHECO I bagged the 2022 Golden Dagitab Awards from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) last July 29, 2022.  BOHECO I bested one hundred twenty (120) electric cooperatives in the Philippines for exemplary performance in the field of Institutional, Technical, and Financial operations.

This year’s founding celebration is the first face-to-face activity of BOHECO I after the covid-19 pandemic that began in early 2020 which suspended physical and social gatherings across the country.
